New Changes at the Cannery!!!

There have been some changes at the cannery, and hopefully these changes will allow more people to utilize what the cannery has to offer!

• Orders: We no longer need to turn in member orders. The cannery bases its orders on inventory now rather than ward member orders. This is due to the fact that the cannery has been deemed a Regional Emergency Preparedness facility.
  
  
• Purchasing: Members can now purchase items in bulk or cans every Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (no canning session), or on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  
  
• Volunteer Opportunities: We will be asking for 2-4 volunteers each month, from each ward, to participate in the canning session for our assigned Saturday. You do not need to purchase anything to serve. Look for sign-up sheets in RS binders.
  • Youth age 14+ are eligible to participate as well. A parent and teen might chose to volunteer and provide service together.
  • Non-members may also participate in canning sessions and purchase products if they have a member sponsor.

Come Get Apricots!

I have a tree FULL of ripe apricots! I've already eaten my fair share, and there are literally a thousand or more left! If you'd like some yummy sweet apricots, you're welcome to come pick some! Pick some for your neighbors, too! Otherwise, the ants and birds will end up eating the rest.

Just let me know what time you want to come over. You're welcome to come when I'm not home too, you can get into my backyard from the side gate.

Cannery Orders Due

Hey Everyone,

Cannery orders are due soon! If you didn't have a chance to sign up in the Relief Society books at church, please be sure to email or call me your order. I'm taking orders for dry milk ($7.90/can, 4.1 lbs).
It will be canned the second Saturday in July.
