Cannery Reminders
Just a reminder that cannery orders for August are due!
I'm taking orders for Carrots and Macaroni.
If you haven't placed an order yet but would like something, just let me know how many cans you'd like.
Carrots are $7.50 each, and Macaroni is $3.85 each.
Please submit your order to me by
this Tuesday, Aug 30th.
Also, this Saturday, Sept. 3rd, is our stake canning day at 8:00am. We will be canning hot cocoa (yum!). Nobody placed an order for hot cocoa, but if you'd like some you are still welcome to go to the cannery. The stake specialist always orders a little extra!
Cannery address: 4400 Presidential Ave. NE
And remember, please be on time and no open-toed shoes!
Thanks!

Desks?
The sister missionaries are looking for two desks to replace the tiny, rickety ones they have in their apartment. If you have a desk you're wanting to get rid of, please contact the Sisters.
Thanks!

Super Saturday
Hi ladies! The Relief Society Activity Committee has begun to plan our Super Saturday activity that will be held on October 8th from 9:00am-12:00. Below are the crafts we have chosen, they are easy to assemble and cheap! I have ordered from this company before and have enjoyed their products. We will also have a sign-up sheet going around church for the next two weeks.
We are also planning on making Family Home Evening binders and Church Quiet Books for kids. We will display these items soon at church. We are hoping to do a little mini-class on cake decorating too.We realize not everyone enjoys doing crafts so come and enjoy a nice lunch at 11:30am.
You can either leave a comment on this post as to which craft you would like and how many, or you can sign up for it at church, or email me. Please make checks out to me and I will place one order. I will need the money by August 15th. Thanks! Teri Stowe
(On any of these crafts if we have more then 5 orders the price drops a little)

New iTunes app
There is a new app available on iTunes called LDS tools. This app has all of the units in the stake included in membership directories available, as well as a map feature for the addresses. It also list the callings of the individuals in each unit. It has other features as well including a calendar and so forth- a very functional app to have on your iPhone or iPod touch. All you need is a LDS user account The same one you use on LDS.org

Cannery Reminder
This is a reminder that our canning day is this Saturday, August 6, at 8am. We will be canning regular oats and black beans.
If you didn't place an order for these items, you are still welcome to go! Everyone helps can the product, which takes about an hour, then afterward you are welcome to purchase anything that is in the warehouse. There are always starter kits, bulk items, and single cans of various commodities leftover from previous months. Since I am new to building my food storage, I usually just buy 2 or 3 cans.
Please come! It will be a great time!
