Cannery Info

Hello Ladies!
Just a reminder that today is the last day to submit May cannery orders. Dry Milk is the only commodity being ordered this month. I know this isn't much notice, but I just wanted to help get this blog jump started!

For June I will be taking orders for regular oats and black beans. Also, this coming Saturday, June 4th, is our stake's canning day at 8am. We will be doing open group canning orders. Please try to arrive on time, and plan to be there for about an hour and a half. If you didn't place an order for open group canning back in April, you are still welcome to go help at the cannery! Then you are free to purchase anything you like that is present in the warehouse. It's always fun to go shopping!

If you have never been to the cannery before, do not fear! Someone will explain what to do, and it is a lot of fun! I personally have only been twice, but I have enjoyed it and it feels great to have started growing my personal food storage (which is still quite small right now) and working towards "preparing every needful thing."

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Let's Get Started!!

Hi Ladera Ward sisters! Welcome to our blog...we hope that you will all enjoy using it as a way to stay in better communication, and create a more unified and inclusive feeling in our ward. Since all of the ward boundary changes I think we are all struggling with trying to get to know each other and feel as one. It will take time, but we can do it day by day, visit by visit, Sunday by Sunday, activity by activity!! I know that I am trying to learn a new name or two each week...and match them to faces! I love the variety of women we have in our ward. There are so many different talents and personalities that can be enriching to us all.
A special thanks to Teri S. (remember, no last names!) for creating our blog. She is a wonderful woman that you ALL need to get to know!! She is oozing with talent, and we will all be the beneficiaries of that talent as she is our newly called Relief Society Meeting Coordinator. As she works with Emily R.(RS second counselor) and their committee, I'm sure we will be in for some enjoyable and informative activities.
As you can see, Teri has already added some great websites for us to visit that can help us in various aspects of our lives. Please feel free to give suggestions for others. This can be a great forum for us to share the things we know and learn. I look forward to seeing what you all have to contribute!
